The Santa Coloma's train station was inaugurated on the year 1886 as a stopover, near San Miguel's residence. Subsequently, the town of Santa Coloma was founded around the train station and became a passenger's station. In the year 1977 the service was suspended and from then on, preserved as a historical heritage. Nowadays, on its rails only circulate freight trains. It is a typical rural station with apex ceiling and a gallery upheld by two columns preserved as city's historical heritage.
